I think of a blog as a place to write extra long fb statuses.
Well, let's get to know each other (and when I say "each other" I mean it's a one sided conversation unless you comment on this). I am from the good ol' US. West coast. I lived in Cali (Bay area) until I was 7 years old, then my family moved to WA where I was home schooled until 10th grade. I attended most of the community colleges and universities in my city (I'm serious, 5 total). It took me a long time to settle on a major because I wasn't going to settle. I studied Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in Global Studies and a minor in Asian Studies. I got to study art, politics, culture, economics (I love economics, so interesting), and religion. After I graduated I worked for a year then decided to move to Korea. I've always been interested in learning Korean. I don't really know why I've always wanted to do this...I remember hearing my grandparents speaking in Korean when I was kid, FULLY confident they were talking about me (yeah, right--I'm sure they had more important things to talk about). It was like a secret code language. I want to learn their secret code language! SO, I've been living in Gangwon-do, Korea for the past few months. Learning this language, living away from friends and family, and TEFL is THE MOST CHALLENGING THING I'VE EVER DONE IN MY LIFE. But I am really enjoying Korea and hope to have a pretty good grasp of the language by the time I leave. This blog is designed to share a bit of what goes on in my life with friends, family, and anyone else who cares to stop by.
*warning* before you read more of my posts: I use parentheses and commas like there's no tomorrow--oh, and dashes, lots of those too. If this drives you grammar people crazy...sorry. ^^ I will strive to become a better writer as we go along.
I love the design of your blog,.
ReplyDeleteEven your profile descriptions, so encouraging,.

Hi Jess^^
ReplyDeleteWelcome to blogspot!!!
You made me back to blogspot... since... Oct. 2008^.~
I started my blog @ blogspot when I took ART classes at MPC in 2005.
It was a part of class assignment recording our learning progressions in Adobe Illustrator.
It was an unique way to communicate between Instructor and her students... I liked a lot!!!
Hope... you enjoy blogging for finding genuine yourself and helping viewers "Living life on purpose by the grace and hope of God" through "The Way I See It..."
